Haley Entrop-Ozment
Haley Entrop-Ozment is an appellate attorney and commercial litigator. She received her undergraduate degree in Political Science and Writing from Concordia University Texas and her Juris Doctor from St. Mary's School of Law.
During law school, Haley was a member of St. Mary's acclaimed National Moot Court Team, serving as both an oralist and brief writer. Over her years on the team, she won three National Championship titles and earned several regional and national top finishes for oral advocacy. She also received three Best Brief awards and was named Third Best Oral Advocate for her region by the American Bar Association. That year, St. Mary's National Team was ranked the number one advocacy program in the nation by the ABA. Haley served on the Board of Advocates as part of the National Team and received the James Derrick Law Advocacy Award for writing the 2024 Jimi Derrick Moot Court Competition problem record. In recognition of her exceptional performance, she was awarded the 2025 Outstanding Moot Court Award and inducted into the Order of the Barristers.
Haley also served as both a staff writer and Associate Editor for The Scholar: St. Mary's Law Review on Race & Social Justice. Her comment, Honey, I'm Home: Harmonizing the Restatement (Second) of Contracts with Existing Law for the Repatriation of Artifacts, explores legal frameworks for cultural artifact and remains repatriation.
During law school, Haley clerked in both the private and public sectors. She worked as a legal intern at Whataburger and the Cubeta Law Group, focusing on employment law and business litigation, and clerked at the Bexar County District Attorney's Office in the Conviction Integrity Unit, working on habeas petitions and writs. During her final year at St. Mary's, she served as a law clerk for Steve Chiscano & Nadeen Abou-Hossa prior to receiving her bar results in October and rising as an Associate Attorney.
Haley has provided legal aid to the San Antonio community through volunteer work with Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid and San Antonio Legal Services Association.
As a newly licensed attorney, Haley focuses her practice on commercial litigation and appellate law. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the San Antonio Bar Association, and the San Antonio Young Lawyers Association.
